1. Scope
K-Walks LLC (“K-Walks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of customers, dog walkers, administrators, and website visitors. This Privacy Statement applies to the K-Walks website, customer portal, walker portal, administrator portal, and related pet-care services.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Name, email address, telephone number, and emergency-contact information.
- Account login, authentication, and account-role information.
- Appointment requests, preferred times and caregivers, service history, messages, support communications, cancellations, and rescheduling requests.
- Property-access instructions, alarm information, entry procedures, and other information needed to provide care.
- Policy-acceptance records, including the accepted version and timestamp, when an acceptance feature is provided.
Pet information
- Pet name, photo, age, breed, weight, and birthday.
- Health, allergy, medication, mobility, and veterinary information.
- Feeding, bathroom, behavior, temperament, and care instructions.
- Safety concerns such as aggression, anxiety, or escape behavior.
- Visit reports and care history.
Pet information may be associated with an identifiable customer and is protected accordingly.
Visit information
- Visit start and end times, assigned caregiver, notes, and summaries.
- Bathroom, feeding, water, medication, and behavior updates.
- Photos uploaded by an authorized caregiver.
- Approximate mileage, duration, and route information if tracking is activated.
Live GPS tracking is not currently active. We will update this Statement and provide appropriate notice before activating it.
Technical information
- IP address, browser, device type, operating system, requested pages, approximate access time, and referring page.
- Authentication, security, error, cookie, and session information used to operate and protect the website.
3. Payments
K-Walks does not currently process online payments through the website. Before online payments are introduced, we will update this Statement to identify the payment provider and link to its privacy policy. The provider will process payment details, while K-Walks may retain transaction amount, date, status, refund, and limited payment-method information. K-Walks will not store complete payment card numbers or security codes.
4. Calendar information
Customers may see a privacy-limited version of a favorited caregiver’s availability. Busy periods appear only as Unavailable. Customers do not receive private appointment details, names, notes, addresses, or personal calendar-event titles. Google Calendar synchronization is not currently active. Before it is introduced, we will update this Statement with the final synchronization, token, retention, and disconnect practices.
5. How we collect information
- Directly from customers, walkers, and administrators.
- Through registration, authentication, pet profiles, appointments, calendars, visit reports, and support requests.
- From authorized caregivers providing visit updates.
- Automatically through essential cookies, server logs, and security systems.
- From providers that help us host, authenticate, communicate, or process transactions.
- With permission, from future calendar or mobile-location integrations.
6. How we use information
- Create and manage accounts and route users to the correct portal.
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, assign, and cancel pet-care services.
- Match customers with caregivers and provide necessary pet-care instructions.
- Display caregiver availability without exposing private calendar details.
- Create visit reports and provide care updates.
- Respond to support, safety, billing, and emergency matters.
- Protect users, animals, property, accounts, and the website.
- Detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and policy violations.
- Maintain business, transaction, tax, and policy-acceptance records.
- Improve the service, comply with law, and enforce K-Walks agreements.
We do not use private access instructions, veterinary information, or precise location information for advertising.
7. How we share information
Assigned caregivers
An assigned caregiver may receive customer contact information, pet and appointment details, property-access instructions, and relevant health, medication, behavior, and safety information. Unassigned walkers do not receive customer identity, address, private notes, or access instructions.
K-Walks administrators
Authorized administrators may access information as needed to operate the business, provide support, resolve disputes, and protect safety.
Service providers
- Supabase for authentication, database services, private file storage, and authentication emails.
- Vercel for website hosting, delivery, security, and technical logging.
- A disclosed payment provider if online payments are introduced.
- Mapping, calendar, communication, or email providers if those features are activated.
- Professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants, or insurers when reasonably necessary.
Providers may use information only for their authorized services or as otherwise permitted by law.
Legal, safety, and business disclosures
We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to emergencies, protect people, animals, accounts, or property, investigate misconduct, defend legal claims, complete a business transfer, or act with your direction.
8. No sale or targeted advertising
K-Walks does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use sensitive pet-care, access, photo, or location information for targeted advertising. K-Walks does not use advertising cookies. If these practices change, we will update this Statement and provide legally required notice and choices first.
9. Photos and visit content
- Pet photos and visit reports are private by default and limited to the customer, assigned caregiver, and authorized administrators.
- Identifiable pet, customer, or property photos will not be used in advertising or social media without separate permission.
- You may withdraw promotional permission for future use by contacting K-Walks.
- Withdrawal may not require removal of material already lawfully printed or published, but we will consider reasonable removal requests.
10. Future location information
Before GPS tracking is activated:
- We will update this Statement with the final native iPhone permissions, collection, use, retention, and sharing practices.
- Location access will require appropriate notice and device permission.
- Location will be collected only as needed to provide or document a scheduled service.
- Detailed routes will be limited to the customer, assigned caregiver, and authorized administrators.
- Location will not be sold or used for targeted advertising.
The current website does not perform live background GPS tracking.
11. Cookies and sessions
K-Walks uses essential cookies and related technologies to:
- Maintain an authorized session and route users to the correct portal.
- Protect accounts and prevent unauthorized access.
- Maintain the short-lived browser-session marker and current inactivity timeout.
- Support website security and reliability.
These technologies are necessary for the website to function. Closing the browser removes the non-persistent K-Walks browser-session marker, and users may sign out using the visible Sign out control.
12. Data retention
K-Walks retains information only as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide services and maintain active accounts.
- Protect customers, caregivers, animals, property, and accounts.
- Process refunds, resolve disputes, and detect fraud or security incidents.
- Maintain business, tax, accounting, insurance, transaction, and agreement records.
- Comply with legal obligations.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we will delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it where practical. Information may remain temporarily in backups until those backups are replaced through normal processes. K-Walks will establish a written internal retention schedule before collecting online payment or precise location information.
13. Data security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information, including authenticated accounts, role-based access, database row-level security, restricted private-photo storage, encrypted connections, limited information access, and session expiration controls.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. K-Walks will provide legally required notice if a security incident requires it.
14. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Ask whether K-Walks holds personal information about you and request access to it.
- Request correction, deletion, or a portable copy of certain information.
- Withdraw optional consent, including promotional-photo permission.
- Object to or limit certain uses of information.
- Opt out of sale or targeted-advertising uses. K-Walks does not currently engage in either practice.

We may retain information reasonably needed to complete transactions, protect safety, prevent fraud, comply with law, resolve disputes, or establish legal rights. K-Walks will not unlawfully discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.
15. Authorized agents and appeals
Where applicable law allows, you may authorize another person to submit a request. We may request proof of authority and verify your identity directly. To appeal a denied request, emailKwalks.pets@gmail.comwith the subject “Privacy Request Appeal.”
16. Children’s privacy
K-Walks accounts and services are intended for adults at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 submitted personal information without required parental authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. 17. External services and links
External services linked from the website operate under their own privacy policies. K-Walks is not responsible for an external service’s privacy practices merely because the website links to it.
18. Changes to this Statement
- The current effective date and version appear at the top of this page.
- Material changes will be communicated through the website, account, or email when appropriate.
- Where required, we will request consent before applying a materially different use to previously collected information.
- Previous versions will be retained for business records.
